Camp Howqua Updates

Wow, this year, like every other just seems to fly…

We’d like to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you to all of our new and existing guests for your continual support of Camp Howqua!! We love to see you and to continue our friendships year after year.

There are many exciting things happening this year.

The long awaited camping amenities block renovation is finally under way, so next time you are camping you will be doin’ it in style.
The new retainer wall in front of the Main Lodge facility is now completed and currently gardens are being established for your enjoyment.
More good news… all of the roads on site are being upgraded ready for sealing early next year – no more dust!
We also received the 2007 Federal Government Community Water Grant of almost $50,000 which will enable us to fit three tanks holding 150,000 litres of water with associated plumbing and filtration to our Main Lodge facility. This will make the Main Lodge itself self sufficient with guaranteed quality drinking water as well as reducing our dependence on the river. Thanks to all who supported us in this project.

Richard and Kellianne’s alpacas are multiplying with the newest one being named “For Sale”. Any inquiries can be directed to the office.
