Camp Howqua Updates

2010 is here and we can only reflect on the busy yet awesomely rewarding year we have had. 2009 was indeed a record year for Camp Howqua so once again we’d like to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you to all of our guests for your continual support of Camp Howqua!! We love to see you and to continue our friendships year after year.

Upgrades that may have happened since your last visit include:

  • The roads within the camp have all been sealed, dramatically reducing the dust. (We would like to gratefully acknowledge this substantial gift from the Seventh-day Adventist Church – Victorian Conference Ltd).
  • Boom gate access to enhance the security and safety of our guests.
  • Camping Amenities block renovation.
  • 150,000 litre tanks fitted to the Main Lodge facility with filtration and chilled drinking water. (We gratefully acknowledge the Federal Government Community Water Grants Scheme which has made this project possible).

There are once again exciting upgrades happening at Howqua this year.

  • We would like to thank the Seventh-day Adventist churches throughout Victoria for the 2008 Howqua Development offering which was a substantial amount. This has enabled us to purchase shading for our new High Ropes structure plus a shade extension to the back of our Main Lodge and two portable shadings which will be utilized at any of our activities.
  • The Ski Lodge exterior will be freshened up in February.
  • We have replaced some carpet in the Main Lodge dining hall with vinyl.
  • A further 8 of the cabins will have renovated bathrooms.

If you are looking for a new place to go or you have been here before, we would love to see you at Camp Howqua. Please contact us if we can help you further.

Thanks for visiting!
